Perhaps you have noticed that it is hard to get a "deal" on Magneplanars... your Magnepan dealer is not being difficult. Magnepan pursues an approach to suggested prices that is different from most manufacturers. Frankly, we are put off by the mass merchandiser practice of making consumers think they are getting a "good deal", where in reality, the manufacturers advertised suggested retail prices are inflated. We think our customers can see through this kind of marketing strategy. So when a Magneplanar dealer tells you he has no extra profit margin to give you a big "discount," he's telling you the truth.
